Maha-Manthan is a structured knowledge initiative of the Maharashtra Institution for Transformation (MITRA), created to promote continuous learning, capacity building, and policy dialogue in support of Viksit Maharashtra 2047. It brings together government, academia, industry, practitioners and other stakeholders to build capabilities, exchange ideas, examine issues and generate actionable insights for Maharashtra’s development.
Through its multiple knowledge tracks, anchored in the 3E Framework, Maha-Manthan seeks
to foster a culture of informed dialogue, evidence-based thinking and continuous learning.
The initiative provides platforms to explore emerging issues, exchange experiences,
document knowledge and generate actionable insights aligned with Maharashtra’s
development priorities.

Knowledge Capsules offer concise and accessible insights on emerging issues, policies, innovations and priority areas. Designed for quick learning, these capsules distil relevant information and key takeaways into an easy-to-understand format for policymakers, practitioners and wider audiences.
Knowledge Dialogue brings together diverse perspectives through curated conversations on important policy and development issues. By facilitating dialogue among government, academia, industry, experts and practitioners, the platform seeks to encourage informed debate and generate perspectives that can contribute to better policy and implementation.
